Eileen Doran-Smith
has been an Authorized Macromedia Developer
since 1991
specializing in Multimedia Art Services. She started
her own business,
in 1990. She has been on the cutting edge of the telecommuting
technical community both on the west and east coasts, working
on and off-site.
Since 1991, she
has had the opportunity to work with many different teams producing
web graphics, CD-R's, software, games, demos, presentations and
web graphics. Her
clients
are large and small companies, including Palladium Interactive
(now The Learning Company), NEC, Maxis, Rental Tools & Equipment
Company and
Creative Labs.
She has published
four books for children ages 4-8: The
Cloud Painter, How
The Youngest Angel Learned To Fly, The Wind Dancers and The
Rainbow's End. The Wind Dancers and The Rainbow's End will soon
be available in fine bookstores like Borders and Barnes and Noble.
Doran-Smith was
formally educated in the field and has spent her
entire career
in computer graphics.
Doran-Smith studied
art at The Rome Center of Loyola University
in Rome,
Italy and is a graduate of Saint Leo College, in Florida.
She also completed
sound engineering training at Cogswell College.
She is constantly
updating her knowledge by attending classes at
UCLA, UC Berkeley,
Marymount and DVC.
She grew up in Maryland
with 9 brothers and sisters. Upon graduation, Doran-Smith began
a fulfilling 15 year career in the newspaper business where she
learned to meet tough deadlines, sold advertising, created illustrations,
wrote human interest stories, and photographed or illustrated
her own stories. Her work has been published in Children's Album
Magazine, Air Brush Magazine, as well as many other newspapers,
and publications during her career.
